These tools can be used with very young students as well as college students. And since they’re browser based and free they’re available from any computer, any time.

Good suggestions there Mac! I also added some suggestions for video tools.
Jumpcut is a free, web-based video remix and sharing community. Students can start a project at school and then finish it at home!
There's also a Jumpcut group for teachers to share age appropriate video and student projects. Here's the link:

Maybe it's just my browser but the links wouldn't work. I'm using Safari so that could be a problem.
Good ideas. For Mac's I also like Desktoptwo.com as an alternative online desktop.
