Quickly glance over "Top Ten Excellent Online Apps For the Innovative Teacher"
I have used:
- Moodle for the last 3+ years. I probably could sell it if it had a price.
- Google Presentation- it does a good job, a little limited in features, but a good enough for students to present and for you to present at any conference.
I am currently using:
- Engrade.com- an online grading program with my distance course I am teaching, no complaints- my students can access their grades online anytime.
Next semester I will have my students try:
- Mindomo- for their mind mapping assignment
- Schoopy – for their classroom newsletter assignment
- Empressr- for their presentations
Which new ones will your students try?

Hi:
I have used MOODLE since Jan 06 and cannot think of a reason to discontinue its use just yet. I am trying all of the components of Zoho, which is a multi-suite application, similar to MOODLE, but with a few extras such as, customizable skins, a planner and a notebook. What it lacks it the grade component that MOODLE has and that keeps me returning to MOODLE as my course management tool of choice.
My students have been required to sign up for a GMAIL account so that they can avail themselves of the GOOGLE suite of applications such as the blogger, PageCreator and interactive documents. What's new for me next semester is the web presentation tool[www.diigo.com]. for
